General Questions

Is your farm certified organic?
This is a big question, and one every consumer should know the answer to. While we are not “certified organic”, we farm using organic methods and principles. Our animals are raised on pasture with any and all feed being strictly certified organic. We do not push hormones, antibiotics, or offer feed made from GMO crops

What should I know about your farm and business practices?
The only difference between our farm and one that is “certified organic”, is that we do not have the expensive cost of being certified, which in the end gets passed on to the consumer, in the form of higher prices. We farm nearly 100 acres with MIG (Management Intensive Grazing) practices. Our animals are not just grass fed, but grass finished, giving you an exceptional, and great tasting meat. Customers are encouraged to visit the farm and see how our ‘Happy” animals live.

Where can we buy your grass-fed beef and lamb or your free range chickens?
All of our products are available both on the farm as well as at any of the many farmers’ markets we attend. (Please see the Where to Buy section of our website for a list of current markets are attending as well as the dates and hours of operation). You can order in person at any of these locations, or call if you wish to discuss.

Grass-fed Beef Questions

What do you feed your Grass-fed Beef?
Our cattle are pastured throughout the summer on our pastures which are a mx of legumes and grassses. We usually put them out on pasture starting around May 15th and pull them off of pasture around December 1st. Between December 1st and May 15th they are fed baled hay harvested from our own pastures

Does your Angus beef taste better then any of the other beef you raise?
While Angus beef has been extremely well marketed, we believe that the flavor of our beef comes from the excellent job we do raising our grass-fed beef using the MIG (Management Intensive Grazing) method, and not as much because of which breed stock the beef come from. So, the short answer is that no, our Angus grass-fed beef doesn't taste any better then our other beef, both in our opinion and the opinions of our partners.
